The short version
Some of our free guides recommend equipment and link to it on Amazon. If you buy through one of those links, we may earn a small commission. You pay exactly the same price, and it helps keep the guides free.
Amazon Associates
As an Amazon Associate, Pilates Protocols earns from qualifying purchases. This applies to links to Amazon.com and other Amazon stores (such as Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.de) that appear in our equipment recommendations.
How we choose what to recommend
- The advice comes first. Our guides regularly tell readers not to buy things — a home reformer before the habit is proven, for example. A commission never changes that advice.
- Cheapest thing that does the job. Where a $15 band does what a $2,000 machine does for your goal, we say so, and where something you already own works (paper plates as sliders), we say that too.
- No paid placements. Nobody pays to appear in our recommendations, and we do not accept free products in exchange for coverage.
- Criteria over brands. Most recommendations describe what to look for (weight rating, spring availability, mat thickness) so you can judge any product, not only the ones we link to.
Where affiliate links appear
Only in clearly labelled equipment boxes on free guides and resource pages. Every such link is marked as sponsored in the page code, and the box says so in plain words. Our own programs are not affiliate products — when you buy a Pilates Protocols program you are buying directly from us.
